Welcome to the SPSU AUV Website
This website is dedicated exclusively to the development of Seahornet.
Seahornet is the autonomous submarine built, maintained, and continuously improved upon by
a talented and dedicated team of engineering students at Southern Polytechnic State University
(SPSU). Since its inception in 2003, it
has been the team's goal to meet and exceed the mission parameters set forth by the Association
for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI)
for their annual student competition. This year Seahornet will compete in the 12th International
Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Competition which is now co-sponsored by the AUVSI and the Office of Naval
Research (ONR).
This website will provide information about the competition, the SPSU AUV team, our sponsors, and our goals. Ultimately, this website will document the construction and the design of Seahornet. We welcome visitors to explore our website and get to know Seahornet.
